Tips For Playing Videos

Our video clips are .mpg files, compressed for the best compromise of quality and playability. If the video seems choppy or uneven as it plays, we suggest letting it play all the way through and then playing it a second time. This can be done by "right-clicking" on the video image and selecting "play". In most cases the video will play smoothly the second time.

Here are some additional suggestions which may help improve your results:

Your Computer's Operating System

Our video files are optimized for computers with Windows 98 and newer operating systems. If you are trying to play video clips on an older computer loaded with Windows 95, you may encounter playback problems. We suggest switching to a different computer with a newer operating system.

Your Computer's Default Media Player

Our video files play through the Windows Media Player and many other popular players. You may encounter video playback problems if you have more than one brand of player installed on your computer. If you are encountering a problem, we suggest making sure that Windows Media Player is set as the default player for .mpg video files. Alternatively, we suggest downloading the newest free version of Windows Media Player from the www.microsoft.com. Taking this step generally seems to eliminate any conflicts between multiple media players.

Your Internet Connection

If your internet connection speed is 28 or 56 k, you may encounter problems with video playback. We suggest switching to a computer with a faster connection.
