Ambrell Announces New High Frequency Induction Heating Product Line

(Rochester, NY, August 2006) The Ambrell group has announced the arrival of the EKOHEAT line of induction heating systems with an initial output range of 15kW to 45kW. “With the introduction of the high frequency segment of our EKOHEAT product line, Ambrell offers the worldwide market a series of cost effective RF Induction power supplies. Using patented technology, the EKOHEAT supplies incorporate the best features of Ambrell's HOTSHOT/EASYHEAT and L-Series/ISM design while providing the same reliability," says Skip Thompson, VP of Engineering & Worldwide Product Development. "The EKOHEAT design is modular and adaptable, thus allowing Ameritherm to create an even more comprehensive line that includes low and medium frequency supplies with power capabilities extending into the 250kW range.”

The EKOHEAT, in addition to being CE rated, offers some key features; the most notable being a 360 VAC to 520 VAC line voltage capability and the ability to maintain operation even under the harshest conditions. The new design affords maximum power without occupying substantial valuable operating space. In addition, it offers the user greater maneuverability by allowing a distance of up to 100 feet between the heat station and power supply. The EKOHEAT offers easy-to-use advanced control features such as the ability to set user-defined heating profiles and a multi-language display. As with all Ambrell products, the power supply can be controlled remotely through a serial interface. These attributes, coupled with the repeatability, precision, efficiency and economy of all Ambrell products makes them the first choice of companies all over the world who use heat in their manufacturing processes.
