Drill bits of varying diameters (0.25" to 1.5") require a tungsten carbide cutting tip brazed to a steel drill shaft with a braze flux. A brazing temperature of approximately 1900°F. is reached with induction heating. The time required ranges from 11 seconds for a 0.5" diameter bit to 32 seconds for a 1.5" diameter bit.
