| Question: | Why in the L40/100 unit the screensaver has to shut off the heating power... |

The reason the RF power turns off when the screen goes blank is for safety. Yes, it is just a screen-saver however, we would hate to have someone look at the screen, see that it is blank, assume the power supply is off, and reach in to remove a part causing harm to the parts and possibly themselves. For this reason, all of the screen-savers are disabled when they leave the plant. If your process is a particularly lengthy one (half hour or longer), you can adjust the screen saver to turn off after 35 minutes. This way, your process is completed and the screen will automatically turn off for you. Generally we recommend that you don't use the screen-saver at all. If you're concerned with power consumption, you would be well-advised to turn off the 3-phase when you are done with your application. |
